WHAT IS HOSPICE CARE?
The Medicare Hospice Benefit is a philosophy of care that is focused on care & comfort as an option for patients with a life-limiting illness that choose to forego curative measures. Hospice offers care and comfort relief from physical pain, social, spiritual and emotional concerns. It is provided by an interdisciplinary team consisting of the patient, family, hospice professionals and volunteers with a focus on embracing your definition for quality of life. According to Medicare, 95% of hospice care is provided at the Routine Home Care level.
